TERMS & CONDITIONS – VACANCY HUNT
By participating in the Vacancy Hunt and submitting a building, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Participation
Participation is open to individuals aged 18 or over and is free of charge. Employees of TAKE OVER and persons directly involved in organizing the campaign are excluded from participation.
2. What counts as a valid submission?
A submission must refer to a clearly identifiable building or property and must include its complete address, including the street number. General references to streets, neighborhoods or properties that cannot be clearly identified do not qualify as valid submissions.
All information must be provided truthfully and to the best of the participant’s knowledge. Deliberately false, fabricated, misleading or manipulated submissions may be excluded.
3. When is a building considered already claimed?
Each specific property can generally only be claimed once. The first complete and valid submission received by TAKE OVER is decisive. This also applies if the submission has not yet been reviewed or displayed on the public map.
If the same property is submitted by multiple participants, the first valid submission received by TAKE OVER will generally be considered.
4. Finder’s Fee
The €1,000 finder’s fee is not awarded merely for submitting or claiming a building. Payment is only due if the submitted property meets the criteria for the finder’s fee published by TAKE OVER.
TAKE OVER may verify submitted information using publicly available or otherwise lawfully accessible information and may request additional information or evidence from the participant where necessary. From among the submitted tips that meet the criteria, the TAKE OVER team will select the three properties that are best suited for the concept. The people who submitted tips for these properties will receive a finder’s fee regardless of whether the TAKE OVER concept is implemented at that property at a later date.
5. No entitlement for invalid submissions
No finder’s fee is payable for submissions containing false or manipulated information, properties that cannot be clearly identified, properties that have already been validly submitted, violations of these Terms & Conditions, or submissions that do not meet the published requirements for the finder’s fee.
6. Sources and third-party rights
Participants may only submit information and content that they are legally entitled to obtain, use and share. Information must not be obtained through trespassing, unauthorized access to buildings or private property, deception, unlawful surveillance or any other unlawful activity.
By uploading photographs or other original content, participants confirm that submitting and using such content for the purpose of reviewing and documenting the submission does not infringe the rights of third parties. Personal data relating to uninvolved third parties should not be submitted.
7. Verification and contact
TAKE OVER may review submissions to verify their plausibility and whether the published requirements have been met. TAKE OVER may contact participants if further information or clarification is required.
8. Payment
If the requirements for the finder’s fee under these Terms & Conditions have been fulfilled and the submission has been successfully verified, payment will be made to the eligible participant. Any personal tax obligations arising from the payment are the responsibility of the recipient.
9. Misuse
TAKE OVER may exclude submissions or participants where there are reasonable indications of manipulation, automated mass submissions, identity fraud or other misuse of the campaign or submission system.
10. Data Protection
Personal data may be processed for the purpose of running the Vacancy Hunt, reviewing submissions, contacting participants and, where applicable, paying the finder’s fee. Further information about the processing of personal data can be found in TAKE OVER’s Privacy Policy.
